I majored in Marketing and minored in Film at Georgia State University. Determined to make my way into media, I interned at several institutes such as Turner and The Weather Channel. I later returned to Turner Broadcasting, where I worked for nearly seven years.
At Turner, I started on the distribution side, working on telecom and satellite accounts to increase distribution of Turner's properties. I later moved into the affiliate marketing, where I coordinated & designed integrated marketing initiatives - finding win-win opportunities for Turner and its partners. I eventually found myself in an agency management role, where I oversaw all development of Turner's affiliate marketing site, Turner Resources.
Later, I was offered the role Senior Web Developer at Georgia Tech's Information Technology Group. Today, I'm a Senior User Interface Developer at Georgia Tech, where I work with all clients in the Campus Services division.
My approach—no matter the client—is to educate, empathize and work in tandem with the client to develop solutions. I want the client to feel invested and empowered to the point where they feel partly accountable for the development of our solution.
For me, development is more than just work - it's about establishing human connections. In doing so, my hope is that it will translate to a stronger connection with the end user.
Enough about me - let's hear about you! I'm always down for coffee & conversation.
